The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) manages water resources in nine river basins throughout southwest Florida. River basin is another name for a large watershed. River basins are made up of many small watersheds. Each smaller watershed is named for the creek or stream that carries its water to the larger river. The Brooker Creek watershed is a smaller watershed within the Pinellas-Anclote River Basin.
